"Basil Oil" ~ Mission Olives and fresh Basil crushed
Stella Cadente Basil Olive Oil is made by crushing fresh Basil and mission olives together at the olive mill, and the result is a pesto style showstopper. The oil has a wonderful Basil aroma and the palate experiences a persistent fruity Basil flavor with a gentle hint of pepper on the finish. Our Basil Oil pairs well with meat and vegetarian pastas, greek salads, cold or warm tomato soup, tuscan beans, crusty fresh baked bread and many more incredible combination.
Please note that this is a “crushed” oil and is not “infused”. Most of the Basil Oils on the market are “infused” and the taste profile is completely different and far less attractive to the taste buds. We are following in the tradition of our crushed citrus oils to insure that this is yet another award winning product made in a style consistent with old fashioned methods.
